I took my pickup in for what I thought was the carrier bearing. Manual transmission, making ugly noises while running in gear. After discussing it with the folks at the shop, I could be looking are a very expensive differential rebuild. Heck, I was pricing new trucks by this time.
They discovered a missing mount on the transmission (from a prior fix at another shop) and a bad u-joint. Where they could have milked a lot of money out of me, they were completely honest with me and only charged me the $150 it cost to fix the problem. Will definitely recommend them and use them for any problems that arise in the future.
I had a very favorable experience at the Washington Blvd AAMCO center and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

While I was not happy with the news that my transmission needed rebuilding, I was happy with the service. Ian was proactive in calling with the diagnostic results and he kept me informed on parts delivery expectations. My Toyota produced an obscure error message which he hunted down the fix for. She’s running smoothly once again
