I took my pickup in for what I thought was the carrier bearing. Manual transmission, making ugly noises while running in gear. After discussing it with the folks at the shop, I could be looking are a very expensive differential rebuild. Heck, I was pricing new trucks by this time.
They discovered a missing mount on the transmission (from a prior fix at another shop) and a bad u-joint. Where they could have milked a lot of money out of me, they were completely honest with me and only charged me the $150 it cost to fix the problem. Will definitely recommend them and use them for any problems that arise in the future.
I had a very favorable experience at the Washington Blvd AAMCO center and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

My husband, Jim, had a concern with a possible transmission problem with our 2018 Buick Enclave. He contacted Aamco and spoke to Ian, who advised him to bring the car in for a service appointment. At the appointment, Ian asked him several questions to try to identify any potential issues and then had the car test driven by Bill, the Chief Transmission Technician, with over 30 years of experience. It was determined that it was an issue related to the car’s computer, which occurred after replacing the battery. He assured him that the issue would resolve itself after driving the vehicle for a period of time. Ian and Bill were both very courteous and professional and resolved the issue in a very short time,
Ian is awesome! He is honest and friendly too! I had my transmission fluid changed, and the service was quick and the price was good. I strongly recommend him!
