I took my pickup in for what I thought was the carrier bearing. Manual transmission, making ugly noises while running in gear. After discussing it with the folks at the shop, I could be looking are a very expensive differential rebuild. Heck, I was pricing new trucks by this time.
They discovered a missing mount on the transmission (from a prior fix at another shop) and a bad u-joint. Where they could have milked a lot of money out of me, they were completely honest with me and only charged me the $150 it cost to fix the problem. Will definitely recommend them and use them for any problems that arise in the future.
I had a very favorable experience at the Washington Blvd AAMCO center and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them.

I was referred to Ian after an oil-change shop told me I had a transmission leak. Ian carefully inspected my car and found the real issue: engine oil leaking over the transmission—no transmission problem at all. He explained everything clearly, kept me updated, and scheduled me right away. The repair was finished in under half a day, the price was very reasonable, and the customer service was excellent. Honest, skilled, and fast—highly recommend Ian!
